Young people

Submit a piece of artwork. Every piece of artwork we receive is featured on our website and Facebook page.

Follow us and discuss. Join our Facebook page for all the latest on Guns and Knives Take Lives and talk about it with other people who want to make a difference.

Imitation guns are as dangerous as real guns and it is almost impossible, even for the professionals to tell the difference betweeen a real and a fake gun. If you don't believe us, take the test.

Parents / carers

There is loads of support available for parents and carers. If you think your child might be at risk of getting involved with guns, knives or gangs then find out what you can do about it.

School / youth workers

The Guns and Knives Take Lives team aim to deliver their 90-minute presentation to every Year 9 year group in the county, every academic year. That is 75 secondary schools and over 20,000 children every year. NEW FOR 2010 - FREE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FOR SCHOOLS

New for 2010 South Yorkshire Police have worked with local schools to develop a suite of education materials linked to the PSHE curriculum. The materials consist of an animated, scenario based presentation (1 hour duration), teacher guide, mapping document, supporting worksheet and PowerPoint quiz. Ideal for any Y9 or Y10 PSHE lesson.
